The prerelease business of the Mahesh Babu’s ’1- Nenokkadine’ movie is creating waves. Whether it is theatrical rights, or satellite rights or audio rights, it has already made close to 90 crores.
Lahari Music which has bought the audio rights paying a fancy prize was ridiculed for the gamble they have taken. Industry pundits have wrote them off saying they can’t make that much money. But their gamble is worth and their risk is paying them off.
Be it buying CD’s or downloads or ringtones they are doing very well and the label is pretty happy for their decision. Srinivasa Rao, who is in-charge of Lahari Music in the State, shared his happiness with the media. He said ‘Our first audio in combination with Superstar Mahesh Babu and the sales have sky rocketed the moment they were released into the market.
Mobile downloads for caller tunes and ringtones are like never experienced before. Especially the song ‘Who Are You.’ has garnered terrific response. We thank the Superstar, Director Sukumar, producers’ trio and music director Devi Sri Prasad for helping us with such a blockbuster comeback. We also thank the fans of Mahesh Babu for the interest in the audio.’ Slowly the songs are growing on us and we hear the songs play already at many tea stalls and malls already!
