Bala's new film with Sasikumar and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar has been titled as Tharai Thappatai. Sources say Sasikumar plays a Nadaswaram artist in the film while Varalakshmi Sarathkumar plays a Karakatam dancer.
According to one section of media, Bala's Tharai Thappatai also marks Ilaiyaraaja's 1000th film as the music composer, in today's trend composing for 100 films itself a tedious task for the composer but Ilaiyaraaja has reached 1000 films and still mesmerizing us with his music. Though the 1000 the film statistic is yet to verified our sources say Ilaiyaraaja is fastly nearing the mark.
